Stroboscopy: Strobe Light

A Strobe light is a flashing light that enables us to see a simulated picture of vocal fold vibrations in slow motion. As the vocal folds vibrate 100 to 400 times in a second, a Stroboscopy picture enables us to view the vibration of the vocal folds in detail. This is very useful in detecting early pathology of the vocal folds including early cancer detection.
